Barnival is a celebration of life and authentic expression. It is more open than a retreat, yet more held than a normal festival. Let us create a safe space to play, experiment and unfold our uniqueness without any pressure to get it right.
Every individual becomes a vital part of our collective creation. This is not a place to prove yourself worthy, because you already are. The more we allow our true colors to shine through in this open space, the safer we feel, and the deeper, more authentic, intimate and nourishing the experience will be for everyone.
Prepare for a sensory feast with diverse, high-quality music over fantastic speakers, enriching workshops (including breathwork and emotional processing), art, a soothing sauna, chill-out areas, a warm firepit, refreshing swims, and an inviting open dance floor, all set in the picturesque backdrop of a lakeside. As well as everything you might bring to the table! β¨

At Barnival, we all aim to embrace all the different parts of ourself - the aspects you like and the shadow parts you might normally hold back. Every element is welcome into the light. Let's expose and release the fears that hinders our natural growth. That's how we flourish for real.
By learning to embrace all experience as a never-ending gift instead of pushing it away, we discover a newfound peace, freedom and love for ourselves, others and the world. We do not discard our humanness; we open to it more fully. This is where we find a natural flourishing of life and a blossoming of our authentic selves

This principle encourages us to engage openly, shedding our preconceptions and personal projections, to truly listen and connect with those around us. Let go of fantasy and rigid perspectives and experience the moment as it unfolds, with an openness that invites genuine interaction and discovery.
Authenticity
Authenticity encourages us to always show our uniqueness, instead of hiding behind the masks of daily life. When we notice we're hiding something, we try to show and share instead. This commitment helps us create a space where we feel free to be ourselves, creating deeper, more genuine connections.
Participation in the Co-Creation
Contribute your unique spark to the collective flame. Barnival is a dynamic tapestry woven from our collective actions and ideas. Each contribution, no matter how small, enriches our shared experience.
Mutual Respect and Consent
Don't try to harm anyone. Honor each other's boundaries and always ask if you don't know if it's OK. Only say yes if you mean yes.
Practicals
Bring all essentials for a comfortable outdoor stay, including your food. Drinking water will be provided.
Pack your garbage bags and take your trash with you π (Our bins have limited space).
Leave nothing behind without permission.
Accessible by public transport: Take a train to Eidsvoll, followed by a bus to ΓdegΓ₯rd Fjell.
Nearby grocery shopping available in Sand and Mo.
